Long Island Z Cars!

Greetings all Z Drivers,

After looking around for some time to try and find a Long Island Z Club that is active, I couldn't find one so I started it! Called "LIZ", For "Long Island Z", I hope to get an active and thriving membership started ASAP. I know that with the winter coming events and meetings will be limited but that only means we can make an inaugural spring event a huge one to start 2007 off right! I have started a website that will be developed more fully shortly but if anyone would like to join up please do!

I would like to see the membership page's content grow rapidly! I have extensive experience with Z/car Clubs from my days in Nashville with the Middle TN Z Club, a very good one. I am actively seeking sponsors and funding options for LIZ and would appreciate any input on those subjects. BTW, this is a Z Club for ALL Z's...from the earliest to the newest. We all drive Z's for the same reason, they are great cars and we are all fans. Please send feedback on whether you guys would be into this club or not or provide any kind of feedback you deem appropriate. I think a unified club for all LI Z's is a great way to represent us on a more local level.

Seems many of you are meeting at Captree lately (from tsz33.com) which I think is great and I would like to meet you there so please let me know when and exactly where you are meeting.

Yeah, it would be sick if we could get a good club going but winters coming up so it would be hard. I know theres the NYZC they meet in queens but i dk if they are active.

i used to work in west babylon at francescos A good meet spot would be DPA then maybe we could head over to central after, or the OBI on ocean parkway. even maybe behind tri county flee market in levittown. but im deff down for a club and a meet.

During the winter we can use that time to talk with potential sponsors (I have more than a few leads on that) and make plans for Spring and Summertime shows. Last year I had a very succesful meet/show at Robert Moses State Park in May. We had about 20 Z cars of all ages and cooked out on the grills and had a great day. I'm planning something similar but hopefully it'll be a lot bigger in 2007. I'm planning the first meeting for Feb. so we can discuss things. Hope to see you around.

How do you put image in post ?????

go to http://www.photobucket.com -> create an account (its free) -> follow instructions -> browse for pictures and enter -> upload and wait -> most forums use the [img] format so you will get that option from the possible others -> copy and paste and post -> pat yourself on the back for learning basic e-skills

Before NYZC came into forming, the founders and us local 240 guys used to meet up where PC Richard's used to be at the Smith Haven Mall. It would be an all day thing. Only pics I have are two night pics. I have no idea where the others are. Plus 3000GT VR4's would hang out as well ...
