So around 70 kph I hear a soft "elongated" humming. First thing that came to mind: wheel bearing. But it's too long of a humming. Funny, it does go away when you turn to the right...

I had someone from nissan sit in the car and they will look into it. She thinks it too long of a humming to be my wheel bearing. (the service at my dealer is great.........I see them too much but great dealing with them!)

Any input on this?

Could this be wheel alignment? This type of noise can be caused by poor wheel alignment, and since you mention it subsides when turning to the right, this explanation fits perfectly. As for a wheel bearing failure; the noise would be felt "in the core of the vehicle" (best explanation I can come up with!) and may be more of a grinding noise (like a garage door opener).

i had a friend who has an 05 altima se and she had a wheel bearing problem that was her humming noise. i also have a humming noise and she said it didnt sound the same as hers. i also had the dealer look at it and its not a bearing issue. i thought it may be road noise because it was time to get tires, but i have new tires now and still the noise. please let us know here if its something other than bearings that is your problem. i'd be interested in knowing. thanks!
