Ok, i finallly have a g50 :D

I got her the other day, and the first thing i noticed that had to go was the brown/tan/poop interior.

i was in the junkyard on thursday, and found all black interior for $200! sooo...BAM!
Image
door panels need to be recovered. and the steering wheel is super sticky and nasty, i need to find something else. but the seats and everything else are legit!
also, re covered the headliner and a piillers in suede. i love suede...

and i dye'd the stock headliner black over the sun roof. i couldn't figure out how to get everything out and apart.
anyways, here's an outside pic for gits and shniggles.

What you've done so far looks great. Is that a lime green Q45 in the pic?

SCORE on the black interior Ed... Great job!!! I dig the suede A pillars and headliner, and very appropriate since the headliner in 90-93 was very suede-esque.

Looks like the door panels came from a 95 or 96 model, as they almost always have that sort of wear compared to the 94s... Fortunately that top panel can come out and be recovered pretty easy..

Also judging by the original picture interior, looks like its a 95 or 96 as well??

yeah wes, sorry.
it is a 96, and the black interior is out of a 95.

coilovers should be here on Wednesday, then off to the machine shop for boring out.

wheels will go on as soon as i get the coilovers back, (i'm gonna need to fit them)

So it drives like crap and that doesn't matter? Why own a decent car, then, let alone a G50?

Don't see much difference in either of your preferences. They are both bad caricatures of real cars. Most of use grew past cartoons a long time ago.

BTW, all 90-93 came with black dashes and steering wheels only.

Hey Brian, it is his car, and he can do what he wants with it. If it's not your cup of tea, don't do it to your car.

To each their own...

Nice work on the interior, Ed! I'm digging the black and will admit to a slight bit of jealousy!

 Because it's his f---ing car, that's why. Just because you don't get it doesn't mean that anyone on this board needs the great Maxnix raining all over their parade. How about if you don't like it don't post?

I don't really get the whole VIP look myself, but I applaude Ed for doing something he likes with HIS car...unless it's lime green. :chuckle:

Keep the pics coming!

Hey, if you like to take one of the better handling and braking cars on the street and turn it into a piece of rolling crap that can't brake or turn, then you encourage it. I won't because I don't want to suffer the consequences of his crippled handling car if he is on the same road as me.

Now, if he is going to keep it parked by the curb, then fine. Still a real shame.
