So i was on this forum, bla bla whatever some guy sais how his bemmer (325i) is the shizny and how he can whip up anyones a$$. Anyways, so theyre fighting between each other how they all wanna race@ englishtown.

So this is what I say.

"oh god , please no, dont come to english town, the last thing i need is my hometown getting filled with a bunch of morons racing to see whos daddys car is the fastest. Go race on the bay or something. Dont come to englishtown. And whats the point anyways, those who never went to the track will loose anyhow, because they never seen a christmas tree before, besides that, theres no skill in drag racing, all you need is power and reaction time. You wanna talk about man and machine learn drifting then talk. "

And then this is what some moron replies with.

">>those who never went to the track will loose anyhow, because they never seen a christmas tree before, yes, that's true. good thing i've been racing at etown for 3 seasons now (just can't seem to get out there for the 4th)

>>besides that, theres no skill in drag racing, all you need is power and reaction time.tell that to steph papadakis ;) there is no skill in drag racing an automatic, with manual there are a ton of variables you need to control (when/how you slip the clutch, when/how you shift, traction, not breaking down in the middle of the track, not hitting walls when you light up the tires on the 2-3 shift, etc.)

>>You wanna talk about man and machine learn drifting then talk. drifting is a rice-boy's wet dream. it does not improve times the least bit in track racing. it's showy, but would you rather look cool or go fast? (yes i know formula 1 cars drift about 2 degrees in every turn, but "drifting" implies like 30 degrees :) ) I bet any amount of money that with 2 identical cars on the same track and with reasonably close driver skill, the "drifter" will get noticeably worse times than the "gripper".

the ultimate driver vs. driver test is gocarts. since they're all about the same, skill decides the winner (though experience is a plus). either that, or rental neons (but who the hell would want to do that?) "

And then i ended it with this.

"drifting is ricers boyr dream?????????

loloololololololololololololololloolololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololol

30 degrees ?????????????

lolololololololol

you obveosly have no clue anytning about drifting or where it originated or what it takes to drift, please stick to your FWD

"I bet any amount of money that with 2 identical cars on the same track and with reasonably close driver skill, the "drifter" will get noticeably worse times than the "gripper". "

You should talk with Chris Rado on this, you two same the share bowl in the toilet. If you wanna know what im talking about read the last sport comact car magazine.

"it does not improve times the least bit in track racing. it's showy, but would you rather look cool or go fast?"

I gotta say I heard very smart and very stupid people say very dumb things about drifting, but you. You top it ALL.

"LOOK COOL or go FAST"

lololololololol wow the idiots in whimit.

lololol

i still cant stop laughing not to mention this is coming from a drag FWD VW driver.

It's always fun to see someone make a fool of themselves... and I'm not talking about the guy in the VW.

by the way this is what he replied with, but i decided to take your advice and not say anythign anymore, so anyway this is what he wrote

"let me guess, you drive a right hand drive Toyota corola AE86 with ducktape holding your hand to the steering wheel?

and yes i know all about the joys of drifting. the bottom line is, except for in the rain/snow/dirt/sand (limited traction scenario) or in very small amounts, it's not worthwhile. do you see ALMS series cars drifting everywhere? do you see F1/Indy cars whip out their tail on every turn? Do you see colin mcrae put his focus sideways on tarmac (you do see him do that on dirt, but that's limited traction)? do you see nascar snowboat through every turn? the answer is NO. and keeping in mind that those are the fastest racecars in the world with the best goddamn drivers the teams can find, where shaving off .1 seconds on a 3 mile lap makes the difference between winning and losing, do you really think that if drifting was faster they wouldn't be doing it?

think about it. the only people drifting are rallye drivers (because they HAVE NO TRACTION) japanese dorifto retards (because they have nothing better to do and use drifting to show off) and american wannabes (which also have nothing better to do and think they're rallye drivers because they drive almost like japanese show-offs) "

please tell me u still think im the one that making a fool out of myself, im just trying to defend drifting here thats all.

No need to defend Drifting.. let people ramble on if they want to.. kick some Arse once they talk smack on you...

no need to get into it over the net.
