LOLCAKES s13 hatch build *not alot of (PICS)*

I really didnt take alot of pictures during the build of my s13. I dunno why, probably because it looked like a piece of s*** so I didnt bother lol or the living room full of parts

Bought this bad boy for $500 bucks . Old asian guy said he daily drove the car 100miles back and forth, until he started the engine. TAT-TAT-TAT-TAT-TAT-TATTATATATATATTTA, the ka was rod knockin like a mofo. I called lol. Whatever the ka will be swapped anyways.

Interior was surprising mint, was clean, not too many cracks on the dash, had all the interior panels until I tore everything out. And it was also blue!! One of my favorite colors

The night I bought the car it started snowing, car started overheating while I was enjoying the sound of rod knock manji'n down the road. Went to a gas station, coolant was completely empy, I couldnt help but laugh hysterically. Another 2 miles down the road the car finally gave up and I think the radiator died with smoke pouring out of the engine bay, had the car towed home. lol.

Waiting for tow home, I left that s*** there, too cold to wait 3hrs.


finally home.. ugly as s***. the PO said he bought the car from some highschool kid and they did a WACKASS paint job on the entire car. Some flat grey primer looking paint ONTOP of the perfectly fine stock 240sx silver blue. dumbass hs kids..



and then the super snow storm of dec/jan held off the build for a month, car had probably 2ft of snow ontop of it and surrounding it in the backyard.. it was a b**** to shovel out

fast foward to about march when the snow was almost all gone

bought a sr20det black with trans, cusco coilovers, and a kaaz 2way in a package deal from a importer . i was planning on doing a 1jz but I would probably have to spend 2-4k extra and random stuff and custom piping, etc. maybe I should of done it, o well im content so far.

engine bay looking like crap


nothing some million bottles of engine cleaner and scotchbrite can do with some high temp grey and high temp clear! 2 coats of grey, 2 coats of clear ..then after I sprayed the clear i wanted some retarded color in the engine bay... too late lol .


fast foward 3 days BLAM


then we found out the engine had 2 dead cylinders.. yay!! cyl 1 was 140, cyl 2 was 0, cyl 3 was 20, cyl 4 was 80... happy days!! pulled the engine out the next day, took it back to the importers and got another sr20 blacktop. 30day startup warrenty.

then the 2nd motor was 170 all around, nice but after we finished installing the motor, a fuel line was kinked and the waterpump decided to turn into a waterfall. I miss the first drift event of the year.. fantastic.

and thats my 240 journey so far.. timed the engine, running 12psi, car is lots of fun. how the car looks today, just took these with my friends dslr. all i need is a bodykit and paint and then start on the interior. car is in extreme sleeper mode. and yes im running rich, bov vented right now, getting a recirculation kit soon, dont want to bog mid drift and barrelroll

UPDATE

well i finally got the front tires mounted, so the setup is basically 225/40/18's all around. fronts are bridgestone s03s, and rears are some crappy kumho supra 712's and they dont like being stretched. the isis rucas were maxed out at -1.5 camber, but the car wasnt slammed, but now its probably around -3.. i have no idea.

the cusco coilovers are full low, i was thinking of taking off the helper spring but its not worth it, id rather get better coilovers, these s*** are non damping ones. i also rolled the LIFE out of the rear fenders, stock fenders dont fit haha... i guess i dont need the overfenders until i smash into something

well my plans now are more camber in the front, probably 10mm spacers to sit flush when cambered, 215/35/18s (right now theres barely any stretch), bodykit, and hopefully paint. i really need a f*** paint job bad and brackets for the 996 gt3 replica buckets i have. on to the pics

how are those isis arms working out for you?
they are pretty much junk that will break quickly but have you used them thru any events and had any problems?

they are decent, so far daily driving them they are fine, and some backroad drifting they are fine. theres a event in 2weeks hopefully well see how they are. im probably getting powered by max stuff later on whenever these decide to kill themselves

thanks for the comments everyone. I got the wheels finally mounted on, it looks straight up mexi style .. lmao. i will take a picture tomorrow, im blown because the isis rucas is maxed out at -1.5camber. I need atleast -4 to tuck these wheels lol

update, just got the rims mounted. rolled the s*** out of the rear fenders, full low on the cusco coilovers, and now I have a coolant leak under my intake manifold. wonderful

lol, i saw the deal and I couldnt pass on them. sizes were decent and price was right. i already took them too a wheel shop and got the bend fixed, now i just have to get them refinished one day
