ok fellas my 04 27k miles murano has some problem on it!! my all 4 locks stoped working. I have extended warrentl whent to the dealer and he blaimed it and my aftermarket alarm claiming it was sending close signal to the all locks at all times and burned them out.(actuators) I dont believe this because why would be working for year before stoping.???( Dealer did't fix it) offered me 1600 service aswell ....DO you guys have aftermarket alarms and experiencing problems?

So i took the alarm off and now my drivers seat is not working properly meaning it wont slide front and back and car will sometimes start and shut down right away. Is this all coincidence??? or did i do something wrong???!!? Please help

I believe that a problems is bmc. This is the part that sends current to locks , power seats and some more thinks.Would explain why my car is geting worst.

Ideas??!?!?

Were did you have your alarm put on? I'd see if they've had any problems like this on other vehicles.

You could....take the alarm off and then take it to another dealer....

Sounds like a bad wiring job to me. Can you take it back to where it was installed? Or did you install it?

Heat/cold and humidity can easily create a problem.

I don't know anything about the shop you went to, but I've seen many places that call themselves professionals and that only refers to the fact that they get paid for their work. Not that their work is top notch.

If the locks are all burnt out, it could be because they were exposed higher voltage than they were designed for. This is why 130V light bulbs have longer lifes than 120V (the voltage they actual run at). You may have a short also. The aftermarket alarm system may have been continuously feeding current to the actuators even after they were unlocked/locked...there are quite a few possibilities.

Unless they used some strange method of installing the door locks, I can't imagine there being a signal to constantly lock the doors. Each function (lock and unlock) usually has its own relay and will be a normally open circuit. Any incorrect wiring to the relay would likely result in the unlock function not working as the actuator would be held locked by the lock function relay.

I would probably ask the dealer to explain it in detail. Perhaps approach them by saying you want to go after the alarm shop and you need to understand how they concluded that the alarm was to blame. Either, they will give you legitmate ammo to put the alarm shop on the hook, or they contradict themselves and you will have ammo against the dealer.

It is not the aftermarket alarm. I never found the reason for all four door lock actuators going out at the same time, but I have seen it happen on both a 05 maxima and an 04 murano. Both times I put actuators in them and they haven't come back. Take it to another dealer.

The service logs can be pulled up by any dealership, so technically yes. Especially if it's the first time you've visited this "new" dealer.
