I bought my 1994 Q45a w/ 98k miles approximately 3 months ago. It is in mint condition, runs great. It had been delaer serviced and maintained, one owner, no accidents; full 90k miles seviced, including the Active suspension. no complaints..except for the LOCKS: they seem to have a mind of their own! They present a malfunction that is completely inconsistent. No problem unlocking the driver door (via remote), but when I try to unlock the rest of the doors (by pressing the buttom again), it does unlock the doors but immediately locks them back again (all). This doesn't happen all the time; sometimes it works just fine. At one time while driving, the doors suddenly locked themselves.I worry this malfunction could lock me out of the car; or worst, could happen at a parking garage/valet.Browsing the different forums I found that this seem to be a recognized problem, but couldn't find a straight answer on what might be wrong nor a solution.Any suggestions?

Common problem. Do a search for door lock timers on this site. It has been discussed in detail. Likley you will have to merely replace the door lock timer relay.

It is up under the dash. If I recall from the previous discussions it is a relay in a plastic box. Blue or Red dot on the cover indicates age of unit -- but I cannot recall which one is better. Call Joe in Scottsdale, the relay was $68???? Either check in your manual, or lay upside down under the dash and click the button to see if you can locate the timer. Others who have replaced this may be able to give you a better "map". Good luck!
