Locking Gas Cap

I recently turned in my leased 2009 Rogue for a new 2012 that I bought. On my 2009 model I found a Stant locking gas cap that was working well for me. However when I got the 2012 Rogue home I went to put the same locking gas cap I had been using and it doesn't fit.

The plastic shaft is longer than the OEM cap that comes with the new Rogue. Nissan changed the size at some point and so I set out to search for a new locking gas cap. I can't find one any where to fit the 2012 Nissan Rogue. Do they even make one?

Any help please on this issue.

Stant still lists the same locking gas cap part # for the 2012 Rogue as all the other model years.

So far, they are the only option. Perhaps try and contact them?
