I was wondering if there is some kind of trick to get into the car. It has auto locks and i can get into the hood.

Sorry to say that with two posts and no reputation, I don't think anyone is going to mention the break in weaknesses of our cars :P

call up the fire department, let them run the plates and confirm it's yours, they'll open it for you, go to home depot, make a spare, problem solved.

^ Good thinking, it never even crossed my mind about the reputation and amount of posts thing. Dude could start stealing 240's like it's his job.

You can flex the windows open enough to stick a hanger, pole, stick or whatever contraption you have handy in there to unlock it.

Instead of those blow up pillows locksmiths use to open the window/door. I like to use my velcro wallet. I empty the wallet, flex the window a bit to put in the empty wallet, then i just stick CC's in one by one until I have safely flexed the window open wide enough to stick in the contraption.

Good luck! I've done this a couple times on each car I've owned. But I still won't buy one of those damned locksmith kits.

Thanks guys for your help, I will try the window thing. And to the paranoid people that thought I would be trying to steal their cars, if you look just below my log in ID you will see that I Joined July 16 2009, and if you do the math that leaves me with 8 months of planning for the theft, pretty smart huh.

true story i have a friend with some slight anger management issues, he has owned 6 240sx s13's and has physically destroyed 4 of them in anger.

he let our friend josh drive one to his house once and it was running hot and blew the head gasket by the time he got there sooooo he proceeded to hold gas pedal to the floor and blow it up BUT it wouldnt blow up which made him even more pissed off. the he grabs a four way tire iron and starts beating windows out of it. i watched him take a good running start and blast the tire iron into the passenger window and that b**** didn't even break he tried for 5 minutes to break all those windows and couldn't..... it was quite possibly the funniest s*** i've ever seen
