hmm, that's quite a predicament. I wish I had my FSM or my car here at work so I could look for some options for you. Do you have an aftermarket alarm on the car, those are often programmed to lock when the key is turned on. Could also do some wierd stuff when power is first applied. The car can also do some crazy stuff when you touch the battery cable to the power because it can get a voltage spike from the arching.

I'm thinkin hard but I think you are out of luck. the door lock relays and control unit are inside the car. I suppose you could remove power and reapply again but I imagine you've already tried that.

Sorry, guess you better get out the slim jim or call the locksmith.

Yikes!!

I did something similar a couple years ago, except I left the keys in with the car running and headlights on, LOL.

A locksmith I called had a tool that looked like a twisted metal coathanger. It snakes inside the window, up the other side of the window into the interior of the car, back to the door panel, and then a hook at the end will pull the latch inside.

Some will try going through the door seals or between the door and crash bar, but those methods wont work. (I tried calling six different places, and all but one gave up.)

Best of luck!

Hello:) Yep I tried unplugging the battery a few times with hope but no luck. The only thing I can think of is the window relay and window fuses which are under the hood. Im wondering if I can jump any of the window relay pins.. No aftermarket alarm...Thanks guys!

With practice and the proper tool kit for the Q45 you can open in a few minutes.........but you must visualize the interior of the door. Usually there is one guy at each dealer............locksmith is cheaper than a flat bed to dealershipAlways keep a key in wallet............yep mines there I had to look.

Have someone with AAA call it in for you. They'll need to be there to show the card when help arrives. If you were nearby I'd do it for ya.

I recently locked the keys up in an Acura Integra. This was how AAA opened the door. The device you see forcing the door open is called an air wedge. Slide it in the door jamb then pump it up.

Done. AAA sent out a guy who opened it in 15 seconds. Incredible..he simply slid the plastic white wedge into the weatherstrip on the passenger side front door. He then slid a devise(Ill describe it in a second) down there close to the door handle area and popped the lock open. He went into the inner door not into the vehicle. The tool was about 24 inches long and looked like a coat hanger with an "s" hook on each side...I actually held the tool and measured it so I could build one:) Guy must of thought to himself this guy is nuts! Thanks for all the help!! Nel

Four guys tried that on my Q with no luck. The crash bars were too thick.

can you guys lock your doors from the inside and then get out? i must lock my doors from the outside drivers door otherwise they will unlock when you close them. its nice cause it has saved me a few times from locking the keys in there. just wondering if everyone has that setup?

Have you tried lifting the handle up, and keeping it lifted while it latches, after you lock it?? ...bet it won't do it then.
