locked driver side door j30t

My 95 j30t driver door is in the locked position. The remote, auto door release or key does not unlock the driver door. I cannot access the door panel to remove it. I disconnected the battery thinking this might be an electical problem. No luck. I understand there is an actuator in the door plunger but cannot access. Any suggestions?

It looks like this is a fairly common problem. In my haste, I posted without searching the forum. There's plenty of good suggestions for related door lock issues.
