The other morning when I was getting in my car, my keys were in my pocket and I set off my panic alarm while I was getting into the car. I quickly started the car thinking this would stop the panic alarm which it did not.....

I then in an effort to shut off the panic alarm proceeded to feel the remote key fob through my pocket and squeezed the buttons until it stopped the panic, without looking at which buttons I was pressing.

The problem it created is

Now whenever I get out of the car and hit the lock button on the remote the horn NO Longer gives the audible chirp/beep it used to. It now makes no sound at all.

And when pushing the unlock button the hazard lights used to blink as a visual confirmation of it unlocking the doors, It NO Longer does this either.

So I ask the ever so wise forum for help on how to reset this back to stock. Any idea's? :gotme

Thanks,
Drootz

There are instructions on the back of your remote on how to change between the modes.

Thanks converted for the tip and I did check both remotes and nothing is on either one unfortunately.

but on the bright side, after trolling around I did find a thread in the forums with my answer. :woot:

In case this happens to you hold down the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for at least 2 seconds and it will switch between the modes.

Sorry, I assumed that it was on the back of the remote because it was on my Maxima remote. Glad you got it fixed though.

ya usually when you have the chirp activated, when unlocking the car, you will see the hazard lights and when locking you will hear the horn and see the hazards. When the chirp is not activated, there are no lights upon unlocking the car, and only hazards flash twice when locking with no chirp.. had the same problem on my G35 and nico solved my problem...lol..
