Ok gurus, I did a search and did not find anything on this and since I've also stumped the nissan techs I thought maybe you guys could help.

2006 Base ZBCM wires spliced to install after market door lock mods.

After install car is in "Lock Out" mode according to the Consult II diagnosis. Purple card cannot override lock out mode and no other codes are presenting.

BCM replaced: no change

Nissan technicians working for distributorship and using the proper equipment are working on it, not dealer, not shadetree.

Next step is change out of NATS antennae but that means that entire problem was just a coincidence.

Anybody see a Z go into Lock Out Mode and not be able to override and reprogram?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I'm afraid I won't be much help but just a few questions to clarify, who did the additional wiring? what "mods"? additional door lock actuator? was the battery disconnected at the time all changes were made? was the door closed when the battery was reattached? was the ignition powercylced before trying the new items?

did you try reversing what mod you did to fix it then try taking it step by step to get exactly whats going on? Let me guess door poppers (shaved handles)....

P.S. i would always disconnect the negative battery line before doing anything electrical on a car...

Wonderful. I thought had notify on reply. I appreciate the answers and apologize for the lack of response on my part.It was the BCM and it was a total freak. The mods were KPTEchnologies auto lock modules and I did the wiring. Quite well I might add. The damn BCM just kicked the bucket and the new one had to be reconfigured. All is well now but mostly I'm glad that the modules were not to blame. Just as info, Kevin from KPTechnologies did everything he could to help me and even offered to take the modules back. He gave me his home phone number and he talked with me on every possible fix. Damn right that's customer service! So to clarify, the modules did NOT cause the problem. Thanks again for the replies.
