its on the front of the engine under the p/s pump in that general area. I believe that it is actually the lower hose that goes to the thermostat not the top hose but they both go to the same side so it can be a little tricky to find. if you locate the water pump and look just to the left of it you should find it. The cover is held on by 3 bolts I believe and it points to the passenger side of the vehicle not to the front. HTH

probably just hvae some air in your system. make sure you're running the heater full blast when you're bleeding it

also, there is a bleeder on the intake next to the coolant sensor it is a little brass screw. with the engine off and the radiator cap off remove the screw and add coolant until it starts trickling out of the screw hole. if the thermostat is stuck partially open or if it is sticky then it will cause it to overheat and could cause it to take a while for heat to reach the heater core as well but if it only did that after the flush then it most likely does still have air trapped in it. either way i would definately recommend replacing the thermostat just for safe measure..........

I replaced the thermostat, it is still over heating, I went and got a new radiator and I am trying that tonight!!!! I found the bleeder and did as you suggested and it still did it. I hope the new radiator will fix the problem, if not atleast I know that there isn't any rust in it!!! I put the new radiator in it, it is still overheating. There was a straight tube where the heater valve, is in most cars, in the heater hose by the heater core. (try that for a tongue twister) HaHaHa!! Doesnt that mean that the heater core would be open, or does switch need to be move to hot position in car also?

Well, I replaced the water pump, tonight. I have now replaced the whole cooling system, basically. And I learned some things that you guys probably already know, but here it goes anyway!! I jacked the front end up, replaced the fluids, bled the the system while running the car with the heater on full blast and now my car isn't overheating! I had originally blown a hose, this is where it all started, I believe that if I had bled the system the way that I did tonight, I would have saved my self almost $300. I just hope that this will help someone else not have to go through all the trouble and the expense that I just did.

How hard was it replacing your water pump? My car blew something from its cooling system and I can't pinpoint exactly where the coolant is leaking from. It was just in an accident so I'm taking the time to change both hoses, the thermostat, and maybe the water pump.

Sorry if I jacked your thread

It wasn't really that hard taking everything off, but tightening the alternator(?spelling) was the most difficult. Make sure that you jack the front end up as high as safely possible, air in the system is what ended up costing me so much $$$$. Just had to learn the hard and expensive way!! And run your heater on full blast, while adding coolant to your system until all air bubbles are gone!

Any chance you can tell me how to replace the thermostat. I hear its an easy task. But I don't know how to get to it or what to remove.
