I have the Coupe SE premium w/ the 9 speaker setup. Where are the Bose Subs?!?!? I want to install my own subs because this Bose system cant handle bass. Also does anyone know of a setup diagram for the speakers?

I thought that, but I was hoping that wasn't the case. I don't understand now becasue I only count seven speakers. I thought the rear 6x9s were standard speakers like in any other car.

BOSE setup has three speakers in the dash, two in the door, and four in the rear. Instead of just 6 x 9's, there are also two tweeters in the rear deck!

In the Rear, the BOSE amplifier's crossover sends only low freq. signals to the subwoofer, and the highs to the tweeters... thus the 6 x 9's can act as true subwoofers rather than full range speakers! The BOSE 6 x9's are one way subs, not two way or three way 6 x9's like you get in many cars! Hope this helps

Yeah very helpfull. lol why you yelling? So... couldn't I disconnect the "sub" 6x9s and connct my own sub box + amp/capacitor? I have a friend with a infiniti and thats how his sub was setup. Then I think all i would have to do is extend the power from the battery. Besides those 6x9s already cant take the bass, its soo anoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah i could do that, but if they are already sounding bad why would i want to keep using them? Would the crossovers keep those Bose subs from crakling when i play the music loud?

If i don't use the rear Bose subs, could i disconnect them both and connect the outputs to my amp?

what do you suggest oh great one?

in my last post, I was agreeing that you could just disconnect the speakers and then run the signal from the factory deck to your new amp.... here's the problem, the signal going to the 6 x 9's is coming from your Bose amplifier. you don't realy want to have a system with an amp running to another amp, then running to your subs.

The high low converter is a good idea if you can get the signal before it goes to your factory amp. There are a couple of ways to do this, they make oem high low converters that splice into your factory wiring, and run low level RCA outputs from the rear signal leaving you factory deck, thus allowing you to connect an aftermarket amp via bypassing your factory amp. This is all if you want to keep your factory deck! Its easier if you get an aftermarket deck though!

Are the Bose subs off of the same connection? Also, any suggestions for a crossover if I were to use the Bose subs? Thanks agian for the help by the way.
