Hello... I am needing to temp install a mechanical oil pressure gauge on a 1989 240 sx. (to make sure I am getting the proper ammount of pressure) My question is, Where is the oil pressure sending unit?

Thanks alot,Craig

If you really own a shop called Latimer Motorsports you should know enough to look for the pressure sender next to the oil filter. Anyway, its right under the oil filter, the plug from the harness comes off the same place as the alternator wires. Still not sure wether its NPT or BSPT. Big thread about it if you search though. Logically it would be BSPT since most of the 240sx is metric. Good luck.

Gotcha. I know the fittings from ACE hardware didnt fit into the threads for the sender unit. The unit fit into the "T" I bought, but the double male piece I bought to connect the T to the block would not thread.

I got a kit from somewhere like autozone or someplace like that, and by using a replacement sending unit as a guide, I found a kit that should work, Just that looking in the book, the unit is not shown in the book. Thanks again for the reply
