I've read through all the threads and am ready to check the resistance of the KS but don't know where the harness connector is located. Is it in the same cluster as the injector harness?

Some background- Intermittent stumbling accompanied by the check engine light. Pulled and reset the codes two times in a week and got injector circuit and knock sensor codes both times. I measured the injectors at the connector and #1 is 32 and #7 is dead. All the others are within range. I'm hoping the KS ohm good (changed at the dealership 3 yrs. ago) and their fault is being caused by the injectors acting up. Of course my main motive is that #7 injector can be changed out by only loosening the plenum and not removing it.

yes, same cluster of connex on right bank, but different connector. going only by memorey now, but it seems that it is a 4-place connector.

oh, and you have to measure pin to ground, pin to ground to get the individual sensors. if you masure pin to pin, you get the two in series.

Unfortunately #7 injector is the toughest of all to get out. I've done it by taking all bolts and hose connections off the plenum except for the IAC valve and hose. Prop up the plenum from beneath with the right sized screwdriver and you may be able to just barely squeak it out of there and install the new one. Major PITA though. Watch out for a pinched or dislocated manifold gasket ( O ring on the intaked runners)- I use a small adjustable mirror to check before tightening the bolts down. Remember, plenum bolts are shoulder bolts- don't over tighten or they will strip out easily!Paul

did you add to the post? i swear the first time i read it there was only the question about the harness location....

...anyhow, did dealer do ALL underplenum hoses 3 years ago, including the heater hoses and especially the y-pipe hose? if not, it's time to pull your plenum anyway.

Well I ohmed my KS and one is showing infinate resistance=DEAD. The other reads 560. For money reasons I was trying to avoid removing the plenum but it looks like I am going to have to do it sooner rather than later. I've spent about $2K in the last 6 months but need to take a couple of months off to build up the bank account.

The Q runs really strong until it gets up to operating temp and then it loses some of its acceleration, with a slight miss at idle and my gas mileage s**ks (15-17 MPG). I didn't own the car 3 years ago when the KS and injector #4 were replaced and I don't have a hard copy of my service history. The rep at Infiniti Consumer Affairs read it to me over the phone and I wrote down all I could. I think I will replace injector #1 ASAP and then plan on the rest of the under plenum job in a couple of months.

Go kiss up to a service writer somewhere as you will need the dealer sooner or later, and having a realtionship is invaluable. They will print one out for you.
