Does anyone know where the mysterious Crank Angle Sensor connector is on the first gen Q45s? I'm driving myelf crazy trying to find it.

Front of the engine, driver side. You'll have to remove the DS plastic shroud and possibly the air tube to get a good look at it. The CAS looks a bit like a distributor without a shaft and mounts flush to the engine. The connector is on the CAS itself.

90-93 have TWO [2] CAS connectors: primary on housing and secondary on a cable dangle from housing JUST LIKE THE FSM SHOWS CLEARLY!

I found it. Thanks. I did look at the FSM but only saw 94 and beyond.

90-93 are only available in hard copy mini manual that came with every brand new Q45. And of course the large version sold at dealerships [ebay] for technican use in the bays.

Pretty difficult to diagnose and repair without spending 40-80 hours to read and study whatever version you acquire.

Eventually we all get kinda tired* of people who don't spend the effort or funds to get their personal copy and do their part in reading thousand of searched previous posts. After all you have a 17 year old antique and you have the personal responsibility.

*Much like the moochers who want to use someone's carfax or other service.

Generally the 1994 *.pdf version of FSM is a useful place to start since many things are very similiar to 90-93.
