So this local guy whom of which I got to talk and hang out with for a while raced an Evolution 8 last saturday for $300. The SR240 whipped the Evolution 8 by 4-5 cars on both races.

The SR240 mods = Blitz FMIC, Profec B, straight through 3" piping set at 16lbs of boost and a turbo timer. Oh and stock airbox.

Evolution was running Straight through 3" piping, AEM intake and stock boost.

There's one for the 240's! Err one more. ;)

Yeah, well it just goes to prove that the Evolution 8 is just as overrated as I thought..... oh and the SR240 guy has a SEXY SEXY S15 front end conversion. HAHAH and the best thing is, when he went to race he had his college books and bag with him in the car. And lots of fast food wrappers. Good stuff.

the 240 does carry a good weight advantage though, I wanna say an evo weighs in at 3200. Was this a drag race?

Who honestly races that often in the dirt though? Its not like it matters if you can go fast in dirt if our public highways are paved.....

I guess this would be a different story if there was snow on the ground though :pface

A 240 still has the weight advantage that will help it in the turns and with the right tires i think it would be a very close fight.

Overrated?! Please tell me what other '03 car that can beat an M3 and 350Z in both straight-line and road course tracks and scores higher than the Z in just any other performance category yet still seats up to five adults, carry junk in the trunk and get decent fuel economy for that price and do it BONE STOCK! This is also car that can driven when mother nature isn't being so nice. Try driving that 240sx in the snow. :rolleyes It's one the greatest performance buys of all time and if anything, it's underrated!

WRX STI. I'd rather have a STI over the Evo... I think I went a little overboard. I was in a kind of silly euphoric happiness. Go 240's!
