As you all know, our hobby of cars is very expensive. Fortunately for us, we live in the mecca of the aftermarket world. So I thought us So-Cal locals can share our hook-ups with eachother. This thread is not meant for shops, retailers, or anyone who sells parts for a living. This thread is just for us So-Cal locals who know people in the industry we can get cheaper (hook-up) prices from. The prices here should be cheaper than anywhere else, otherwise, it's not a hook-up.

Guidelines for posting: • Know what you want before posting so the person with the hook-up IS NOT wasting their time. - Do not post, "I want coilovers, what is the best price I can get?" You will be ignored!• Post Part Number and be specific as possible. - Ex: Greddy Map Sensor for 1992 Sentra Se-R Part # 1234567• Post Best price you found.

Guys with hookups, please DON'T post prices in this thread. Since NICO doesn't have PMs, use email.

Great Idea! I don't own a sign shop or graphics firm, but i do get stuff made for people. I can make stickers for people for a pretty good price and since it is local, i won't worry about shipping. Maybe the forum will catch on for socal peeps and get this thing rolling.

I think one way not to piss off vendors, etc is to not post pricing though. Maybe through PMs will work better. Just a though.

Are you suggesting we just PM prices and let the buyer do the research to make sure they're actually getting a hook-up price or not? Should we allow vendors to post and create some type of price war? My main objective is to get the best price possible, so whatever it takes. LMK

I don't think there should be a price war...

Scenario:Ray posts: I got 3 momo steering wheels. Hit me up for a price.I need a steeringwheel, i PM Ray, Ray gives me a price, we set up a meeting place, we done. It shouldn't be too complicated.

As long as it is with in forum policies and it would not be considered a "used or wanted" section, i don't think posting prices should be necessary.

Just giving thoughts out there..it really depends on the interest and others here in the forum see it's validity.

My intention of this thread is to provide hook-up pricing for stuff people are looking for. As sellers, you want the most for your stuff so getting on the FOR SALE section would get you more attention and possibly more cash.

Example 1. John is looking for a Blitz Blow-off, so he scrolls down this post to see who has a Blitz hook-up. He sees that I have one and contacts me for a price and go from there.

Example 2. Brian is looking for stickers or graphics and sees that Zerogravity provides that service. He'll contact you and you guys discuss business.

Does it make sense. LMK

Look at the initial post and follow the format. Give the part number, that way we know exactly what you're lookng for. As you know, some parts are universal and require additional components such as flanges, hoses and harnesses. So try to be specific as possible.

Like this: Greddy Map Sensor for 1992 Sentra Se-R Part # 1234567 Wiring Harness Part # 987654

NOTE: The buyer should do all the homework before looking for a hook-up. This way the person with the hook-up is not wasting their time.

Hey Ray, nice hookups. This is a wonderful idea. It would really brink our SoCal community much closer. I just have a quick question. What if the part you are looking for is generic, ie. SS brake lines, rotors, etc. I'm assuming those won't need the specific part number, correct?

I have a brake hook-up from 1 manufacturer. They get blank rotors and do all the drilling, slotting, and dimpling and sell them to dealers. They have Brembo and non-Brembo rotors. Their stainless lines are made by Technafit. The pads they carry are PBR/Axxis. LMK what car it's for and I can get prices for you. I could tell you in person who they sell to but not in the forum because it would piss the dealers off.

Try to be as specific as possible when inquiring about a hook-up.

What's up guys! Does anyone else have hook-ups or what? Should we make this an all hook-up post. Maybe we can pass on hook-ups from our professions or place of employment.

For instance, if someone works at Home Depot, Best Buys, or wherever.. maybe they can pass on their employee discount.

C'mon guys hook it up...........

I think this is a great idea. It's like the "Regional" and "WTB" forums combined.

Unfortunately I don't have any hook ups (besides Nico)... yet. I've been offered hook-ups by friends of a friends, but until I do business with them, I can't offer any. It would be too awkward asking a favor from someone I don't even know that well.

Once I have a job to allow me to spend money on my car and meet more people in the auto industry, I'll be sure to pass any hook-ups along.

Edit: I got One: Nico member DrIft Ready (Spencer)zerothread?id=160648

I'm sure he can hook it up with installs, conversions, etc...

LMK how you want them. Cross-drilled, slotted, or dimpled. Since they're customized, it would probably take 2-3 working days after I call in the order. LMK PM with your number.
