It appears that I'm alone in my location, Southwest Indiana (10 miles from both Illinois and Kentucky). My engine is just dying, need new fuel pump, sunroof is dying. I'd rather have a qualified tech. do the work, but the nearest one I can find is in Elberfield, IN or Louisville, KY. Would anyone happen to know of a qualified mech near my corner of the state?

If you can change a tirs, you can change the fuel pump.Leave the sunroof closed .

I actually want to get it all repaired and get some engine rehab done. Its got 140k and only the first 25,000 miles were dealerlogged.

Oh just ya know:Injectors, spark plugs, coils, fuel pump, MAFs, new antenna, sunroof, alignment and I have a leak in the powersteering that needs to be fixed (I'll probably have that fixed tomorrow before class though.)

The car has gone from being pristine to aging very rapidly in a month

What happens when you don't spend the prorated $2500-$3,000 per year in replacements, repairs, and maintenance.

It's not like you save anything, it just accrues and piles up waiting to pounce on you all at once.

So much easier to just put the money aside every week in a money market account .

heh, my father just dumped the car on me when I came home from Wabash and literally there are no records of maintenence after 25,000 miles. Except for oil and airfilter changes that I did myself this summer. That leads me to believe that everything under the hood is the same as it was 12 years ago
