uh... is LMGT4 the paint code? if so, just go to the local auto paint supply house and they can mix it from that number

Go to your local paint shop, show them a picture of the color you are going for and see if they can match it up. I'm sure a good paint supplier can hook you up.

Because it seems to be a rediculously obvious question. You want to paint your valve cover to match these wheels, the obvious choice would be to take the wheel to a paint shop to match it. Why would we assume you want to paint your valve cover's to match some wheels you don't even have? If you plan to paint your valve covers and wheel both then the actual color code doesn't matter. Does saying your valve cover and wheels are painted with the correct paint for some wheels you don't own impress some 15 year olds who don't drive?

When you ask a question that has such an obvious answer and we have to assume you lack the mental capacity to reach such a "ridiculously obvious answer off the top of your head" on your own.

"ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer"

"ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer"
DUDE? how was my question stupid?

i asked a legitimate question,"what is the color code for the LMGT4 bronze wheels?"and YOU gave me a stupid answer.

And no, sorry to burst your bubble but I'm not painting my wheels and valve covers that color to impress some fifteen year old, instead I'm painting them that color for my own personal pleasure. You need to get a life and quit giving out faulty answers just to increase your number of posts!

And yes, bmike818, this thread does suck, due to evildky's ridiculous replies.

Thanks for the advice cory2081, I'll give that a shot.

did you read from the bottom to the top? I include a quote in closing and it's the first thing you address?

yes you asked for the paint code:

And I gotta say "LMGT4" sounds like a paint code, a rather long one but sounds like a paint code none the less. You clarified that the LMGT4 was in fact a wheel and not a paint code. Givin that, my understanding now is that you want to paint your valve covers to match some wheels. My natural and logical assumption is that you have the wheels and want your valve covers to match, afterall, why would someone want to color match their valve covers to someone elses wheels ? Logical responce, take the wheel to the paint shop and have it matched. At this point you've still not clarified that your trying to match your paint to wheels that you do not own. rather you come on with attitude:

At this point I'm thinking this is the thanks I get? At least now you've clarified that your trying to match your valve covers to some wheels you don't own. To which my natural responce would be to go to a paint shop and look through their chips to find one you like, seeing as you don't have to match those particular wheels. But that would be "blurting out some ridiculously obvious answer off the top of your head that is meaningless". My point being that the paint code for those particular wheels becomes unimportant unless you want to be able to tell some 15 year olds that it's "mad tight JDM syle LMGT4 paint" .

And then you top it off you imply that my responces are "rediculous" and imply that I am trying to increase my post count? I could care less about post count, I had under 100 posts when I was made a moderator and havn't paind mucha ttention to cound since. I post to help, not for any personal benefit. I do question the intellegence of a reletively new member who chosses to so boldly belittle a mod. I would ask that you show the mod staff some respect. Some might not be so forgiving.

Oh my god.. and now you're threatening me? Wow sir, you have got some nerve. I'm just going to stop arguing with you, because this argument isn't worth me getting banned from this great site. I would dearly appreciate it if you never reply to any of my topics again sir, thanks, and have a nice day.

Oh yeah, and I almost forgot to say, if anyone has any helpful information, please don't hesitate to get back with me.

I would have said the exact same thing. What if you were new to the scene and didn't know that you could just take the rim in to be colourmatched. So it turns out that you don't have the rim, but the suggestion was a good one none the less. Sometimes the obvious answers are the most overlooked.

And I do not see a threat in any of evil's posts. He has been very patient and understanding, despite the fact that you are being a total a$$. Remember, YOU are the one that came on this forum and asked a question. HE was just trying to help you out. It is just good form not to talk **** about the moderators. They are here to keep the forum running so ingratefull ***holes like you can ask all the stupid questions you want and not come up with your own answers.

I know a ton of other forums where people have had their IP numbers banned for less. It does not look good to others when the very people who are in charge of enforcing the rules, are being shown no respect. So the people that do the disrespecting are forcefully told to never come back. It is different if you just disaggree with them. They are people too and can be wrong just like the rest of us, or have differing opinions. And for the record, based on your responses even if I did know the answer to your question, there is no way in hell I would tell you now. Grow up.

In case anyone wants to blame someone for locking this waste of bandwidth, I did it.

If another thread pops up about the same thing, the member is getting the Ban Stick.

For Christs sakes, Waaaah, whats the paint code. I have worked autobody to include paint, the answers you were given are more then enough for a successful paint match. Hell, Homedepot could match the friggin color.

Everyone needs to take a breath, take a shot or have a beer. But chill is the key.
