LM-1 and RPM converter help

ok, i installed the LM1 altogether. I also tryed to hook up the rpm converter, i ran a wire from the tach output on the ecu to the RPM screw on the rpm converter and i grounded the rpm converter to the chasis. Everything works right but when i record a run and put it on the computer i cant seem to get any rpms, do i have the converter hooked up wrong or should i mess around on the computer more to find the RPMs? thanks all
