little tray under stereo

i have a 90 240 and i dont have a stereo or the little tray under it and theres a huge open space from where its suppost to be. im working on getting a stereo but i need the little tray and was wondering if any other cars tray would work. i've seen other cars tray thingys and they look like they would kinda fit. and also, does the stereo have like a bracket to support it or anything there besides the stereo and tray cuz that whole area in my car is gone.

There should be brackets. You'll need to find a set, or get something fabricated in order to install your new stereo.

Check with Midway or Pinnacle in the Advertisers section. You might be able to get that pocket thing fairly cheap and have it be an OE part. You could order along with your brackets to save shipping.

I can post a picture of the parts diagram. It's on my other computer, so I won't be able to get it until tomorrow morning. IIRC, there are the two brackets and then four screws to go with them. You'd need to order all of that and the pocket thingy.

No problem. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I don't think the bracket and pocket will be too expensive and the OE stereo sucks anyway (don't they all!).

Couldn't find the pocket, but here's the radio bracket. I *think* it's the same part for all years of 240SX but you might want to double check with one of our Nissan dealer sponsors.

Partnumbers for the brackets are; 28038-35GF00 for the right one, and 28039-35F00 for the left. for any body who couldn't figure out the test form the fsm posted previously, the green highlighting did some crazy invisible text thing on my monitor.

Yeah, I posted it more for the diagram than the part #'s. I couldn't get rid of that wacky highlighting.

I am not sure about the shipping. I checked with a few carriers with my best guess of size and weight and the lowest I found was about $8. I guess it is holiday rates, I was thinking it would only be a few dollars. I can get you a picture of it on Wednesday (after my finals.) If you want it, I will get an offical shipping price. I just went to a junk yard and looked around and found out that you need one from a 240 only, I looked in to b13 sentras and the NX, but non of theas have the same size bracket. The "pocket" of the NX seamed to be the same size. To my dismay there was only one 240 there and some one had all ready taken the bracket and pocket.PS is 240DRFT dosent buy the bracket and pocket ill for sure will.
