are you running with a ka or sr? any upgrades such as turbo? it might be your idle is not steady or is not enough fuel.jinjinweiwei wrote:plz help me......................
I am running with KA engine, no upgrades completely stock AT transmission. my idle is steady, and what exactly is not enough fuel about? fuel pump?VanguishRacing wrote:

any other problem that might occur to this matters?
fuel pump probably out, because is not sending to fuel filter to your fuel regulator to your injectors to your motor. or maybe you might have bad spark plug that is not given enough spark to burn fuel. so just think about whats the possiblitiy causes fuel not to send. so fuel is your subject.jinjinweiwei wrote:

also another problem. the check engine light come on and it was cam shaft position sensor again!!!! i just replaced the distributor(the sensor was built in) and when i turn the light on before i start the car, it just won't start. and makes a "click" noise from the engine.
thanks so much for helping me
man ur so awesome! thanks so much!VanguishRacing wrote:that's weird... i haven't heard that before. let me ask my buddy he is a mech. pretty expert on these kind of things...i'll keep you update.
great information! thanks man.about the MAF, my old MAF died long time ago, i replaced it with a MAF from junkyard with the MAF cleaner, so that might not be the problem.so i am going to get some plugs and see if the problem goes away.I also bought a new battery yesterday. thanks again!sleepyS14 wrote:sounds like you're having a misfire somewhere. check your plugs if they're fouled up. change em if necessary.. not reallie too expensive. run NGK plugs and not the BOSCH plugs which pepboys will tend to give you. also i'd check your MAFS. for whatever reason and whatever symptoms with hesitation and such i would always suggest checking the MAFS (mass air flow sensor if you dont know).. it's that metal cylinder with a plug attached to it and it's on your intake between the long black plastic piping and the big black plastic air box. I'd say try disconnecting it (the plug from the MAFS) and see if it still does the problem or not. basically fiddle with it. i'd also clean that up when you get the chance.. while your getting spark plugs.. just buy a can of MAF cleaner (its basically like Brake cleaner but dont use brake cleaner.. it'll mess up your MAFS supposedly) . In any case.. good luck. I had an auto s13 as my first car years ago.. and i was having hesitation problems.. it was the MAFS.. so i always suspect that first
k good luck
EDIT:
oh and about your headlights and that starting problem. i'd check out your battery. check the terminals.. make sure they're making enough contact.. clean em up while your at it. and probably your battery is just old and needs to be replaced with a new one.. bc.. if the car doesnt have enough power to start bc theres power being taken away by the headlights.. that usually indicates a weak battery. also that clicking sound when you're trying to start the car with the headlights on.. means you dont have enough power to start the car. if you have a jump pack (which i also recommend getting if you dont have one) will give you an instant 300amp jump of power. guarantee you'll be able to turn the car on with the headlights on and no click sound (assuming it's not fouled plugs and such).
anyway.. my $0.02.
hummm about the power problem. the previous owner installed some aftermarket fog lights, but they dont work at all. could that cause the problem?aziankingz wrote:i had the same problem with my car when i first got it..changed the plugs and wires and it helped a lot..also check your clutch fan which was another cause of the engine to shake, just cleaned it, put it back on and it ran so smooth! You should also put some fuel injector cleaner, which helps too. And change the battery also.
