First off, my car is a 95 with a rb25det series 2Ok, so when I am driving the car...if I get on it abit...it falls on its face at about 4200rpms. Still revs, but it feels like it loses all power and the exhaust note changes. Also, I am only getting 6lbs of boost. I have the wastegate vacuum hose going straight to the intake manifold, shouldn't I be seeing about 10psi? I just replaced the stock bov with a greddy rs, the stock was venting to the atmosphere and leaking. The greddy vents to the atmosphere as well, but its not leaking. Any ideas on what could be causing it to lose power in the higher rpms?

stock gate with no solenoid is 6lbs give or take a bit so its fine. Your timing could be off, tps could be out of adjustment, boost leak as already mentioned, mafs could be going bad(not likely but possible if all else fails.

going to do a boost leak a little later today....how do I check the tps to see if its right? I know the timing is right, it was just set a few days ago by a guy that I know did it right.

with the car in the "on" position (car not running) take a volt meter and check the pins on the TPS. One of them will have a voltage reading that changes when you move the TPS. Set it for 0.45 volts with the throttle closed. It should read near 4.50 volts with the throttle wide open.
