Hello Guys:
My, my, my, my little nissan is totally wild these days. She is smoking many cars that she could not smoke before. I just smoked a Lexus RX 350---mid 1990s/late 1990s model, twice this afternoon. Last night, surprisingly, a BMW 7.40i could not pull away by that much. i think weight maybe the advantage the little nissan has, and including a few things I have done to her.
1. I use platinum electrode NGK spark plugs---get it at any autozone.2. I dropped a k&N Air Filter into the air box---OEM Airbox in my opinion, is very good---better designed than the OEM ones of the G-35.3. I use only 93 Octane--Chevron.4. I adjusted timing to 18 BTDC.5. Idle RPM was reset at 850 RPM6. If you can, disconnect a small hose connected to the EGR valve---it won't harm anything except make you fail emissions. You can connect back when you get ready for emmissions testing. That EGR valve robs the car of power. Also the cats rob the car of power as well.
Already i am able to do 45 miles an hour in second gear, and i do 90 miles per hour in 4 th gear.
I have a GA16DE engine----1.6 litre engine, with 5 speed manual transmission. Many cars are preplexed at how fast i take off at the traffic light.
Is this car the one called the B12 or b13?????? I love this little pocket rocket. Amazing little car!!! i am very pleased. By the way, the car has 252,000 miles on it. Most of its power come in the 3rd and 4th gear, at the top end.
