Ive had a few issues with my CA lately which included my alternator going on me and blowing a whole in one of the adapters on my IC piping(got lucky and stalled it out at the top of the hill from my house and rolled home)

I currently have my Alternator rebuilt, replaced the blown adapter, and replaced the radiator(didnt need it done but got a deal so did it anyway)

my car went from idling under 500RPMs(pre IC issue) to now it is idling at 2000RPMs at running temp and when I turn the car on it it idles at 1000RPMs(still above the stock idle speed).

Not sure why the issue is. I have plenty of power and the waste gate is sounding mean now that it is burning all the fuel. Just wondering what might be the cause of my idle being so high with a pretty stock setup.... +air intake, DP, test pipe, and Cat-back.......

I dont mind it but if these is an issue in the near future I should be aware of that is something I need to know. I cant even explain how much fast it builds boost, but Im sure Im loosing MPG too..........

If it makes you feel any better, mine idles around 900 RPM at a cold start and almost wants to cur out. Oce it gets to operating temp, it idles somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000-1400 RPM and wanders that range for a while. If I start it after having driven it recently (after it has cooled down) it starts and idles pretty smooth around 1100 RPM.

I am still in the process of restoring it to it's stock glory, but I am assuming that I have issues with IACV, Vac lines, and maybe fueling (I plan on replacing all of it anyway). But I will eliminate them one at a time next weekend.

Hopefully the gurus will chime in and give their expertice. I just go to my mechanic friends and use their tools to follow the FSM (usually they help me though).
