Whats up tech talk!

Don't make my way in here much but i had a few questions i thought gen pop might not know.


1. I just picked up some front and rear 5 lug hubs,breaks and spindles from a 95 s14, my question is what else do i need? I know i need s14 ball joints if i dont use s14 LCA's but what about the spindles? do i need to swap them out with the s13 one's or will i be good?

2. I have the opportunity to pick up a s14 subframe for dirt cheep with s14 vlsd and pretty much everything! My questions is what do you guys think about the swap? i know the 20MM of track on each side and yada yada yada. what i want is what do you think of the time and effort compared to actual benefits of doing it. also the fact that you have to sure stance or pbm solid bushings to do that swap.... talk about DD killer.

3. i picked up a set of Z track wheels ( so baller!! ) i have some 17x9 + 12 on right now with some 225-40-17s. I know i will be wayyy sunk compared to that but thats fine. im thinking 235-40-18 rear and 225 front with maybe a 15-20mm spacer and it should be fine right? ( i have 60mm extended studs in the s14 hubs. )

Im running a 10mm spacer with z wheels and fit fine. As far as the subframe swap if your worried about the bushings just switch the diff and axles burr from what I hear as far as dd its strictly a noise issue when switching to solid bushings. Switching to a s14 subframe will allow you to run larger oem sway bars like a j30 or 300zx tt sway bar because its wider. Other than that, no huge benefits. When you do the 5 lug in the front, you have to use the s14 spindles, no option there (and its easier that way) i.only needed spacers inn the front, the rears clear just fine and I'm on the wider tt z wheels.

I pressed in new S14 ball joints in my S13 lcas for the S14 spindles.

Edit: thanks guys thats what i need to know.

Just to clear it up. S13 sways wont work with s14 lca'sz right?

Im pretty sure the lcas are the same..... I think it's the subframe that causes the extra width. Either way, it would take just a few minutes to compare the 2. If your gonna rock the s13 subframe, I think you'll be fine running s14 lcas and s13 sway bar.
