The single one through the bushing, or one of the ones from the arm into the front wheel suspension member?

In any case, I don't have much for you other than penetrating oil... PB Blaster or something like that, and then getting yourself some impact wrench rated sockets (usually black) and going to town on them. There's always cutting as a last resort, but none of those bolts are particulary accessable with a sawsall. Maybe drilling?

the one through the bushing was the problem. with the nut off i still could not budge the bolt. i neglected to mention that i was using air/impact (think i broke it too but it was a cheapy so oh well, excuse to upgrade) as well as hand tools in my futile attemp.

ended up tightening everything back up and calling it a day. i'll take it to my guy and let him get it up on a lift.

i take it you unloaded the tension rod by removing the 2 nuts at LCA and clearing the holes?rust?besides some pb blaster, you could try banging on the backside (nut side) to knock the thru bolt out. careful on the threads.

yup... did all that. no go.

the problem is the bolt is rusted into the bushing. with a lot of force i manged to move the bolt by stomping on a breaker bar ( i weigh ~300 lbs) but it just turned the rod with it (this was arfter i had removed the 2 bolts from the lca).

i'm fairly sure it will have to be cut out but i'm not comfortable doing it without a lift so i'll just pay my mechanic to do it.

If you're still interested in trying one more trick try this... bolt the tension arm back to the lower control arm and put your breaker bar back onto the bolt and try to break it free again. With the tension arm connected to the lower control arm the bolt should spin insode the tension arm and then it will hammer out.

One of mine was stuck as well when I was swapping them for adjustable models. I ended up destroying the bolt by trying to hammer it out from the nut end. The problem was that the bolt was siezed/rusted inside of the tension rod bushing sleeve. Since mine were shot anyway I managed to get a pair of vice grips through the rubber and around the sleeve to hold it while I turned the bolt. Sounds like your bolt isn't even turning, not sure what that would be.
