I just got myself a pivot controller for my headlights but I was so disappointed to find out that I cant do lit sleepy eyes with it. Can anyone help if I could make it work or should I just go with the toggle switches?

You'll need to add toggle switches. The Pivot unit isn't made to do that (safety issue).

That's what I want to get when I get my S13.Was it worth it?I like the idea of not having to cut anything and being able to precisely adjust the height of the lights.

I have a pivot controller in mine, I like it a lot, its nice cause you dont have to cut anything.

IIRC from my install, you DO have to cut one wire going to the headlight timing controller box or what not behind the driver side kick panel... the rest you can just tap into the lines.

But for the most part, it's very easy to install...

so i went to install it today and it seems to be broken. Im a car audio installer so im not an idiot and can follow directions. do you remeber the wire you cut in half. the one i used was the pink and black, just wanna make sure its the right one. if it is i will just have to get another controller.

Pink/black wire cut sounds right.

Before buying a new controller... what wires did you connect where?

How does it fail? Do the lights go up at all? If the lights go up, do they go back down when you hit the button again? When i installed mine, the lights would go up to full height when i hit the button but would not retract at all when i hit the button again. Turned out to be a simple ground issue.

You can do the same thing for free, but the Pivot is a cleaner install and i can set it to a percentage and leave it there. It's worth the $100 to me.

yeah i have the ghetto way goin right now til i get another controller.. I have red goin to ground and Grey getting 12V ( weird). black is goin to the headlight retractor and yellow to the harness goin into the car just like the instrucions say. I hear the relay click in my pivot controller but the headlights stand still.
