Hi guys, (94 Q45)Well, I finally got the time to check the ECU codes which had caused my CE light to stay on for a few months now.I got 34 which is for KS.I found from the search as to how to remove the plenum but didn't get a clear pic as to where exactly is the KS!!?

My questions:1. How many KS are there and do I need to change them all along with the harnesses??2. I know I need to clean the throtle body, replace the pcv valve and clean the IAC.3. How do I clean the EGR valve?4. What is RTV?5. Suggestions as to where to purchase the KSs.6. How long of a job am I looking at here?7. Anything else I need to ask or do that I haven't asked above.

Thanks my friends

Hvae you read the plenum writeup on Q45.org?

Main thing about doing it for the first time is if you've done something like it before.. if you replace ALL the hoses and stuff like that, you should plan on it taking the better part of 2 days (12 hours)..

In the long run it is better to pull the fuel rails and install new orings and every hose that is under or goes under the plenum........the hose you don't change will mean you have to do the whole job over.

I am concerned that not knowing what RTV is may not bode well, obviously correct reassembly is much harder than removal.

Just don't do what I did, I replaced the knock sensors and harness, ( make sure you get the correct harness as their are 2 different ones depending on your date of production, I gave Joe the vin # on our 94 and received the wrong harness) than after getting the intake all back together I was tightening the LAST intake plenum bolt and the gasket must not have been sitting in the lower intake hole and when I tightened the LAST bolt I heard a crack, the sound of the aluminum intake flange cracking!!!!, It wasn't too bad but it cost me an extra $125 to get a new/used intake plenum ( thanks poppop) hopefully when it arrives and I install it the car will run better than it ever did before, also replaced the fuel pump as you did made a huge difference.

Thanks ahardbody

Where do you suggest I should get the KSs and its harnesses (I'm on a budget here). Also how should I make sure I get the correct harness?

thanks
