liscence bulb burnout??

so i was trying to change one of the bulbs for the liscence plate light, when all of a sudden right as im installing the bulb it sparks and the other bulb wont turn on as well as the tail-lights.
when i turn on the lights the hadlights work fine, but the liscence plate and tail-lights wont turn on.
the tail-lights only turn on if i brake....
any ideas on what happened?

Likely a burnt fuse and possible bulb (194 i believe)

I hope you had the negative terminal on the battery unplugged when you did that.

i dont think i did. it was only a liscence plate bulb replacement so i didn't think much of it...why

if your interior lights don't turn on either ( lights for buttons and radio controls) then you probably blew the taillight fuse.

fuses wont run you more than 5 bucks for a pack of them

ooo great. the suspense was killing me haha
so all i need to do is buy a new fuse and let someone install it, and all the light problems will fixed?
