Anyone know how to link to a specific post inside a thread so your browser will go right to a specific post?

There is no simple way of doing this but there is a way.

These are the steps in Firefox

1) Copy the topic url http://forums.altimas.org/zero...27968

2) Right click on the quote button of the post you want to link directly to and copy the link location: http://forums.altimas.org/zero...ote=1

3) Now take the topic url and add the "#" symbol and then add the "id" value from the quote url.(the number to the right of the equal sign and before the '&' sign) Your link will look like this.http://forums.altimas.org/zero...28275

A more easier way.

If their is a reply to the post you want to link to. Then there is "<<" in the post subject of the replier's post. You can just copy the link location from that link. Example: « Re: linking to a post within a thread? (maxentropy)

Steps are the same in IE also.

As far as the post subject... does anyone really read that?
