I'm guessing that this is impossible, but...

I have a 2007 G35x and we're about to take delivery of a 2008 Armada LE. Both cars have intelligent keys.

Is there any way to have a single key be able to operate both vehicles?

according to the 2008 G35x you can theoretically link ( I believe) 7 keys to it. given that you only are given two keys and the process is something you can do by yourself in your driveway this should be possible assuming that the systems are the same. I would try following the manual in one car with both keys then just the other on how to link multiple keys

Thanks for the reply, but I don't think there's any possible way for the intelligent keys to be programmed without the use of Consult III. The real question is if Consult III is able to program a single key to two cars - or more precisely if I key that is already linked to a car can have another car linked to it without erasing the initial link.

The Programming procedure for the I keys initially requires that the old program is erased. The is no way to program the I key to recognize two seperate vehicles. ( theoretically, if you could clone the computer and its program in two identical vehicles, it may work).

Cheers

That's what I figured. Thanks odbaxter.
