Limp Mode

My wife was driving on the way back home and she stalled the engine (6spd) upon leaving from a pedestrian crosswalk. After restarting the engine, it went straight into limp mode. Could not rev pass 2K.

Stopped on the side of road and shut down the engine. Waited a couple of seconds and re-started. All was back to normal, no more rec-limiter.

All this time, there was no check-engine light.

Anyone experiences something similar?

my gf learned to drive my 6speed on the versa, stalled a few times, nothing like that has ever happened.

ive had 2.5 people learn to drive stick on my versa (myself included) and never had that problem

I haven't had that experience in my Versa, but I have in my 98 Vette. It was related to the anti-theft systems. You had to pull the key & wait 10 seconds. Maybe the Versa has something similar.

I too learned in my Versa. Stalled it a few times but nothing like that ever happened

check the manual...i seem to remember reading something on it in there.

of course I can't be bothered to walk outside to look right now.....
