thats really what I was wandering myself.. Only reason to go faster would be if you had a car that you raced at the open track or a 1/4 mile and it could hammer up to 113 and bounce the limiter before you hit the end of an open stretch or the end of the 1/4 *shrug* I know the 2.5 isnt gonna do that lol

I used to go over 115mph all the time... 130mph to vegas in 00 Altima... 120mph to san jose in my 96 sentra... my last two altimas (05 and this coupe) top out at 115 WTF? I have to make sure to WIN street races before goin over 115mph or I would get spanked<<which has never happened I might add. lol but yea, I understand the frustration - though dangerous, I still understand it...

First of all there is no need to go 113 anywhere. You must have a death wish to drive that speed on a normal road. Maybe it is just me, i value my life and really can't get a speeding ticket or i would lose my license, either way you are crazy!!

Weird, there are no limiters on the 2.5's in Canada (at least not in Ontario)

Although, if you get caught driving more than 150km (95mph) they instantly take your license away, and tow and impound your car for a week.

The top speed on the 2.5 is limited to the max speed rating on the stock tires. Nissan doesn't want a lawsuit because they sell a car that drives faster than the tires allow.I haven't found an aftermarket re-programmer yet, but keep an eye on the Stillen guys, they are one of the few aftermarket companies that Nissan may allow access to the speed governor software.

actually anytime I've gone 120+ I always had rims... I had 17s on my 96 sentra and those same rims on my 00 Altima... so yeah, this car does feel floaty when I start reachin 115mph - but not if I'm drunk. JK

rims are nice, but have no impact on the road... the RUBBER is what matters!

Im on summer tires.. nitto extreme 555's that are ZR rated...

Check the speed on your tires, and then know they dont work well with speeds over those parameters.
