Limited Z? no clock

I'm new to the 300zx world, done some research and found nothing. My car does not have a factory clock and has a plaque that says FairladyZ where the clock would be. This looks like it came from factory and is brass in color. Anyone have any info on this? Guy said when I bought the car it was one of 277 built but I can't find any special edition except for the commemorative additions.

Nah, he was most likely just saying it or he himself didn't know. What year is the car? I don't think I've ever heard of a stock Z not coming with a clock. Is this what you're talking about?

Dude was probably referring to the final 300 editions. Quick Z32 wiki research shows that there were 577 turbo Z’s imported to the U.S. The final 300 had a placard on the center console with xxx of 300. That’s not what that placard looks like if it is one of those. That’s just a clock delete panel.

I recognize that badge, its actually a floormat badge that goes on those rare grey/blue plush floormats that are a really thick pile carpet.
