I have a 97 se, and I was wondering what type of aftermarket LSD I shoul get. I have seen a few on ebay from JDM S13's and S15's and was wondering if these would be just as good as an aftermarket LSD. Price isn't my first worry I just want the best performing LSD possible that isn't of an insane price.

you have a LSD if you have a 1997 SE. dont bo buying an aftermarket unit that you dont need, they run between 600-1200 dollars for a good 6-clutch per side mechanichal LSD, or a good viscous coupling diff. invest your money in other places, like the engine and suspension...then when you breka your stock differential from too much horsepower(...hahahaha..good luck..they cant take a LOT..r200 is pretty beefy) then worry about upgrading it.-chetalso, read the differential primers.

It has ABS and yes it does have an LSD I even checked for the orange dot. Ok so aftermarket is expensive now what LSD's can i put in as a direct bolt in. Do the LSD's out of silvias just bolt in or do i have to chang e up the housing and/or shafts

Sorry I keep adding stuff but i forgot to tell u what mods I have. I have an injen cai, 2.5 inch custom magnaflow exhaust nextline gbox chip and a centerforce dual friction clutch

if you have a LSD, why would you want to bolt in a "silvia" LSD, thats what you HAVE. your not making sense, unless your one of those "JDM: obsessed people...like the guy on ehre who goes "I have a JDM rear subframe".....

ugh. anyways, dont mess with your diffy if you already have a LSD until you get serious power, or race it and need to change the split(1 way, 1.5way, 2 way, etc) or type(viscous, mechanichal). invest in some headers, a high flow cat, or other performance mod.-chet

i have a high flow cat but i was wondering would a header make nore power than if i bought an Unorthodox Racing ultra SS pulley kit

Also if i did buy the header how exactly coudl i make it not show the check engine light for cat failure

I know lots of people have asked this but im still kinda fuzzy on what to do exactly

Think I'm gonna go Kaaz 1.5way LSD for my 240sx h/b from Daunttless unless someone wants to sell me theirs for a good price
