i know this topic has been covered a lot and i have tried to read up as much as possible. but the majority of the threads i have found are basicly which is better, and i was hoping for a little more indepth.

i am a road course and auto cross racer i don't drift (fun but not my style). my questions are with a 2 way will i have enough difference of wheelspeed aloud when cornering or will the wheels stay locked and try to kick the rear end out. and how would a 1.5 way deal with lots of accel decell conditions/ neutral throttle or left foot breaking?

im not to familiar with torsion diffs. dont really know how they work. read this from another thread http://www.flashoffroad.com/fe...s.htm but im still a bit fuzzy untill i see and takeone apart myself. how are torsion diffs in road racing aplications i have heard that they are pretty good but haven't gotten any indepth feedback.

sorry abot the book guys and thanks for any info.

For autocross, road race ,solo x, exc. A torsion IS what you want! It will act like an open diff when drifting and if you ever have 1 rear tire in the air It will put all the power to that wheel only but other than that They put the power where It can be used the most! when 1 wheel slips it shuffles the power to the wheel that has the most grip! Go with the stock s15 torsion diff! I on the other hand want full lock for drag and drift!!!

Torsen or helical is what you want for autox and or road racing. Vlsd is a distant second. All the other lock up way too much and you will be sliding.
