I need to add some power to my car, but I have a very small budget. I have put a K&N in the stock airbox and taken off the piping before the airbox, so its Ram-Air. I have a straight pipe with stock headers and stock cat-back. I don't want to get a cat-back, because I don't even have the money for that. What I want to do is replace that "mini-muffler" before the actualy muffler with another straight pipe. This is pretty much going to be free (will it probably do anything besides add more noise?). I want to get some type of cold air intake with the stock airbox, but you cannot get a large anough path to not have resistance. Is there anything I can do ignition-wise (Plugs, wires, anything else) in order to add some power? That seems like it would be fairly cheap. Anything else would help, so please my fellow Nico brothers, help me!

ALSO: I want to get strut tower bars, what is a good company to go with, and should I have the front, upper rear, and lower rear set? or is just front and upper rear ok.

Most ghetto mods to your stock exhaust other than removing a bad cat, are only gunna make you sound like a ricer unfortunately. =\

New plugs and wires are always good for a tune-up and should add some power if the old bits aren't in great condition. I say that if you're really that poor, just save all the money from little mods that aren't that great and buy a used Nitrous kit.

If you want it to be more fun and not just more hp, do some suspension mods.

I put a 300zx fuel filter($9 at autozone) on mine. That seemed to help out alot, but i could have just been a REALLY dirty old one.

Thats a good idea. Seeing that my car is 14 years old and it has probably never been changed it may work. But it only has 55k original miles on it.
