Fantastic track to drive on--it will keep you busy all the way around it.

You cannot just pull up and drive on it. That said between late March and mid to late November there are events most days of the week except Sunday ( Sound injunction)

Lots of HPDE's and time trials run there. Lime Rock is really good about posting the club dates --http://www.limerock.com/

My club will be there April 19th and Oct 22 in 2005 ( Watkins Glen in June)http://www.patroonbmw.org for more info ( no 2005 info posted yet)

PS--Track Rental rates are going up 40% next year--most clubs charge in the $200-$250 range for one day--but in 2005 ?????

hey i checked out the site but i dont see any info about the glen event, do you have it as an open track day open to everyone, so i could just pay to get it, or do you have to be a club member?

i live in syracuse so i have a fairly short drive down there...

there are dates that you can drive. my friend reciently went up there and raced his miata a little bit. (along with a lotus elise, BMW m3 and Audi s4) not a bad day at the track huh? unfortunatly he was driving last week in the miata down a windy road when it was wet and spun out and hit a tree. airbag messed up his eye, luckly thats it. i guess it goes to show u, limerock is a great place and gives u a chance to be smart and keep it off the road.

If there are days you can go down and drive what do i need. I have a helmet from autocross i can use its fireproof. My friend said we need rollcages? If so that would suck. But what do i need?

Awesome track. I drove it like 2 1/2 years ago. Take lots of pictures of your car on the track if you go.

I live about an hour and a half away in north central ct...it's so beautiful out in lakeview...i've been going there since I was a kid because my dad's a racing nut.

Anyway, I've been wanting to take my car on this track since the day I got it...and now I feel like it's finally worthy of being driven there...

Unfortunately the dates that you listed I won't be able to go to because I'm at school and play lacrosse in the spring...91rs13...do you (or anyone else) know of any other clubs that have track days after late may? those rates seem pretty damn expensive...that's like a week's wages for me! 40% is an insane increase as well...

Here's a pic of a blue gt3 s13 240 at limerock during the scca northeast division championship races, IIRC. I was talking to the driver about it...SOHC KA, carburetted, said had 240 naturally aspirated horsepower, dry sump, and was extremely light (2300 pounds IIRC)

And here's a C5 corvette getting OWNED by the 240

Wow, that got to be a bit off-topic, but the first part of the post is on-topic!
