Lime Creek Motorsports Nissan Challenge
Date: To Be AnnouncedPlace: Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas (30 minutes East of Houston)
Rules: All cars must have either a Nissan/Infiniti motor, or chassis. No exceptions. All vehicles must meet all NHRA safety requirements as well as any safety requirements set forth by the track to be allowed to race. Tech must be passed, and all vehicles will be inspected, so be prepared. There will be no speeding/drifting (10mph speed limit in pits) tolerated in the parking lot/pit area. This is for everyone’s safety, and violations will result in your being asked to leave.
Security: The local Sheriff’s Department in Baytown has agreed to provide security for the event. Be courteous, and please follow any instructions they may give you.
Racing: Houston Raceway Park is the fastest ¼ mile track in the country. Track preparation is excellent with generous amounts of VHT being spread well beyond the 330’ marker. The track is run on a Pro .500 light system. .500 seconds between falling lights, and a .500 reaction being perfect. Courtesy staging must be observed to keep all races fair. There will be prizes for the fastest cars in several categories; Stock, Daily Driven Racer, Nissan Powered, Race Car (parachute/wheelie bars), Fastest 240SX, Fastest Z Car (any Z car including 350Z), Fastest Infiniti, Most Consistent, and Best Reaction Time.
Car Show: All show cars must remain parked during the show. An exception will be made for cars entered in racing events. The show will be judged by a panel of NICO representatives to be named prior to the event. Prizes in several different categories will be given, including but not limited to; Best Nissan, Best Infiniti, Best in Show, Best Paint, Best Race Car, Best 240SX, Best Z Car, Best Interior, and Best Under Hood. We are open to serious suggestions on classes for the show.
All in all, this should prove to be a great event for the Nissan/Infiniti community. Many shops will be on hand to discuss and show of their latest work, and the event gives everyone a chance to come together with others that share their interest in the cars we all love.
