Im trying to find out whether or not the SR manifold and the KADE are the same flange...They look identical but not really certain. I have an SR that has a rod knock and ill be rebuilding it but if I can use the manifold, turbo, dp, injectors...ill use those. Please give simple answers and not "Search" cuz I didnt really find anything.

Also, are the ebay T3/T4 T04 Stage IV .50/.70 trim that cost $250 worth it? or cheapos? What about the KA24DET manifolds on ebay for same?? It will be awhile before I piece together the kit but just seeing if it'll work. Thanks in advance.

Oh, if the manifold fits..will it be in same location and the SR smic fit??

Would the SR manifold ports even line up with the KA?

no, the ports will have to be heated up and bent, not very difficulty just takes time.

turbo is crap, and i can say that without even having a link to it....stage "IV"

mani is crap...i can tell you that "again" without a link...SSAC strikes back

Hey, thanks guys. Ill prolly be getting the JGS Stage2 kit and weld the flange on...is top mount better and should the adapter plate w/flange be welded in the middle of the manifold or offset like the KAET is?? Ill be getting a T3/T4 but not sure which one, ill be running like 8psi w/hacked maf (blow through) FMIC, and SR injectors, any inputs??

You can put the adapter plate/flange almost anywhere you want. Thats good cause it should make your downpipe a little easier to fab. With a T3/T4, you may have to go top mount cause it probably cant fit with a bottom mount setup.

I believe the ports do line up and you can use an SR manifold. Guys did this before SSA started making a KA mani. As structure said, you just have to weld on a KA exhaust flange. http://www.WasabiGarage.com makes a bottom mount manifold thats puts the turbo it the same spot as the SR, allowing you to use an SR downpipe. But the SR uses a T25/T28 so your T3/T4 downpipe is gonna be different.

I'm pretty sure you can use the SR side mount with a little cutting of the pipes. Toahk used one on his KA-ET. You can find an OEM FMIC for about $100-120 (starion, evo 8, etc), so you might as well go for one of those. Your setup sounds good. You can find a 1g DSM BOV for under $50.

Tx-Sx-FS, I think your best bet would be getting the turbo, and just move it around on the manifold to see where it fits best before you cut anything. That's what I'm gonna do. That way you can get the best clearance by fitting in the turbo before anything is finalized.

Hey, if I use the SSAutoChrome manifold then I could use the SR turbo I have...which puts it in the same location as the SR tubro,dp, and I could use my SR SMIC w/piping rihgt?? What is so bad about the SSAutoChrome manifold?? This would greatly save me money if all I need is a new manifold since my SR is down w/rod knock...also, would you buy a turbo from SSAutoChrome for KA-T later on? Im looking at there T3/T4 T04E Stage III for $325, is that what they normally run?? Let me know, Thanks.

although I have not personally had any experience with them there have been alot of threads started regarding the quality and consistancy of SSA. if you dig through 2-3 pages of the threads they're easy to find but the short of it is SSA doesnt have that great of build quality and consistancy.

SSAC is a VERY cheap alternative. But, it would flow better than a log type manifold. Shouldn't it be okay if you brace the hell out of it?
