Like the idea of a swap, but have ?'s

Hey guys, I have read all over the net on different kinds of cars, setups, ect. Now that it is decision time for my project vehicle with good ol' dad, I need to decide. What I like about the car is the rwd, many good swapable engine, and the over looks and handling ability of the car, and when in comparison to other project cars, fairs well price (correct?). What my father and I do not like though is that if a ca18 or sr20 was swapped, where could it be taken to a mechanic to be repaired? Would parts be very expenisive if i even got someone to work on it? I dont modding it hardly at all, mabey get to 250 or so. But I would still like to take it to a mechanic if i have not the time to mess with after something goes wrong. After saying that, would I be better of putting in a fully-built ka block that could be worked on? This being good for 220 hp or so, correct? Also this might not be the correct place to ask, but would i be better off with another type of car? Mabey a crx, mk3 supra turbo? Quick/Fast, handles well and reliable (for a modded car) are what i look for.
