did you do it to yours yet? let me know how it comes out. if it comes out good i might just have to make that trip up to your place
no not yet....i was going to do this with a full projector retrofit....but after looking close at the stock housing this cant be done neatly, so i backed off the project...i'm now in search of some not broken OEM sedan lights to do my work....also i have been very busyi have my fogs with a wiring harness sitting in a box right now, as well as a rear bumper sitting at my house ready to be installed (someone backed into my car and took off and left a small dent)so i have had my hands tied. but i have done thi9s before with a freind...it shouldnt be that hard to do

I'm surprised everyone's so concerned about the price, I don't mind paying a little more for a professional job.

My issues with the whole mod are: #1 time: it never should have taken 3 weeks2nd there shouldn't be ANY residue on the inside of the lights, which there is a small amount of on the drivers side light (you can't see it in the pics). Finally, they literally cut the lights apart and then epoxied them together, this whole process could have been neater, but no one sees it/it doesn't affect much so no biggie.

For those reasons I have issue with the price. If everything were perfect I wouldn't mind whatsoever. Anyone thinking of doing this definitely take into account TIME as a factor, I was quoted a week...

3x the time quoted? Id email them asking for a discount... or proceed somewhere else to shake them down.. paying that much should mean 100% satisfaction

not a matter of breaking legs.. but this is why i was upset that dangeris didnt pay with a CC when he got his paint job... Send them an email stating your issues with the job and the delay, and that you are considering disputing the charge... see what they say and how much they give you back...

If it werent a company that boasts "show quality" work, i wouldnt put up a fuss, but for that price.. it should be perfect.

the first picture took the cake for me... looks like they speared black sticky stuff on the edges... it won't matter when the trunk is closed, but man its an eyesore... you'd expect better work for $450

but from afar, it looks good

Exactly my thoughts. I've been thinking about how I want to handle it and how I'm going to present it. I'll keep everyone posted.

lol, that gets too messy, I'm more the silent assassin type. I'm sending an email, we'll see what they say before we do anything...

LBC, thanks for the offer, you have mail.

From afar they look comparable to your BlueBat overlays RJDMMFL1. VERY subtle difference IMO from stock. That amount of bread would have pretty much paid for a entire stillen front.

So your car is out of service all this time - seems like a whole lot of cost and inconvenience for a subtle effect.

I would try to get a discount - but it is kind of dfficult now. Sounds like the negatives you noted are not really visible on the exterior. If that is correct then it may be hard to get the vendor to acknowledge any responsiblity beyond - delivering a blacked out light with a "stock" appearing exterior.

Well I have done my acura CL's headlight in the past and baking them was a nerve racking experience. I will be attempting this mod in the very near future and hopefully it'll come out great. I'm thinking it will though, same concept but you may never know what could happen. I'll take pics along the way and post a write up.
