quite simply i would like to have really good sound quality in a light weight speaker for a daily driver/ autox car. i was thinking about picking up some infinitys but i was wondering if the experts had a better solution.

There's a thread for a quick disconnect for the amp power/ground. This would allow you to have the tunes when you want them and lose the weight when you want to go fast.

It's in here somewhere, and relatively cheap when compared to finding high performance light weight speakers, if they even exist.

um are you talking about subs? I don't know of any mids and highs that weigh a terribly huge amount. If you are talking about subs... well the magnet weight cannot really be decreaed unless you make it smaller, so chances are there aren't really any super lightweight subs out there... but do what rex said. if you're talking about mids and highs the same thing applys, just get good ones and dont worry about the extra 2 lbs it may add to your car.

you can find quick disconnects for 4gauge cable at places like http://www.partsexpress.com. It'd be nice if just one company made a tuner-enthused sub, maybe basket and cone made of carbon fiber and use neodinium magnets(not sure on the spelling)
