Currently I have a lightweight flywheel, might be doing some engine rebuilding soon and considering a pulley set too.

I'm aware that for most cars this would cause a vibrational failure, however whilst perusing the forums in my facebook days, a lot of the guys say that the VG is internally balanced well enough for the pulleys not to be a damaging factor for the crank and bearings. Also many noted cases of NA guys using LW pulleys with no issue.

So one or the other is supposedly not an issue. The question then becomes: What if one used LW for both sides of the crank? Anybody have experience here?

I had a lightweight flywheel and ASP crank pulley on my NA for 200K km and no issues. Installed at 150K km till 350K km when I did my TT swap. 40K km on TT setup no and still no issues. I had my flywheel balanced before I installed and with each insert replacement by SZ

I've ran LW FW and Pulley on multiple VG30DE/TT with no issues. just make sure you get a quality FW that's balanced.
