If you purchase it from a reputable place you will get the belts with the pulley. Don't forget the overdrive water pump pulley to get the fan and WP back to the correct speed.

Go to http://www.conceptzperformance.com or http://www.z1motorsports.com. They have kits that are slightly less money than buying from Unorthodox directly. Their sites will tell you what you need. Resist the temptation to buy it on Ebay. If you use an underdrive pulley you slow down everything driven by the puleys. The power stearing and alternator do not make a great deal of difference. Slowing down the water pump is another story. You can buy a smaller pulley for the water pump to get it back up to factory speed. Have you got the tools and know how to install the UD pulley?

Well the funny thing is that you dont need a belt... The pulley doesnt need a belt to drive the crank.. It sends a wireless signal to your crank, which tells it to drive.. come on its 2008, who uses pulleys anymore..

Just go to either of those sites listed above and buy it all together as one. They will send you everything you need including the right belt size to fit on the new pulleys.

With the unorthodox underdrive pulleys what happens as you will see when/if you take the old one off and put the new one on is that the crank pulley is slightly smaller and quite a bit lighter. In order to compinsate for the loss of turns on the waterpump, the pulley must also be reduced in order to keep the revolutions the same, so as to not overheat your engine. Much like a pedal bike.

the unorthodox full pulley kit with belts and all accessory pulleys claims it does not underdrive the accessories and that all of the pulleys are the same size as stock. but I don't understand then why they would use different belts..width??

here is my real question..

Is it possible to not underdrive any of the accessories?

Scenario: 95 Stock non-turbo z32 Unorthodox crank pulley, overdrive water pump pulley (if the belts fit????), and then my a/c and p/s of course would be underdriven??

Thanks

I've had my unorthodox crank pulley installed without an o/d water pump pulley for a few 90+ degree days now and my engine temp is the same as normal. The new pulley uses a four groove belt however. Mine only came with a three rib, which has never caused me problems in previous cars.

i have a pulley question.

the UR pulley sets are listed for either NAs or TTs; you select one.

are they actually different or are they the same?

what i want to know is: if i buy a set for my NA, can i just carry them over to a TT later or would it be a waste of money?

Yea you can use it on both NA & TTThe pulleys just have a different amount of grooves on them.SO you can swap with your swap.I asked a question kinda regarding this last week and that is the answer I got on here as well as from My Nissan Tech.

Old thread, but I had a question regarding aftermarket aluminum pulleys.

I've read it is possible for all of these aftermarket pulleys w/o harmonic dampers to increase the chance of subtle vibration on the crank at specific RPMs.

Overtime, this increase will slowly weaken the crankshaft and then one day (long down the road), BOOM, the crankshaft can go.

Is anyone else not worried? The only problem is, I can't really find a cheap crank pulley with a damper. I found one by ATI but it is almost $450...not to mention it weighs 6.5 lbs versus the 2.5 lbs for the aluminum w/o damper.

people have been running them on our cars for a while I havent heard of it being a big problem at least to date, but you never know in 2 or 3 years peoples engines could start to go pop

If all that matters is not having 500+ hp, then I'll be fine.

However, 200 hp or 500 hp, we stick to the same RPM range (roughly), so I'm guessing your statement is based on how quickly you accelerate through the RPM range (and stress the crank) rather than the range itself.

Does that make sense?

The VG30DE (TT) is so mechanicly balanced that it isn't a issue, like with the little ricer engines that go pop
