lights wont come up

hey guys, im new here and figured this might be a simple ice breaker. i bought my 89 s13 off a friend and rebuilt everything and the only thing that i cant seem to get to work is the pop up lights, just a simple up and down. can anyone help me regain control of them??

Do you know if the car had a sleepy eyes mod done to it?

No I'm not sure. The car hadn't been running in like 4 years. When I first got it I would press the button and play with it until the lights would go up or down. Now they don't even move.

Popup lights can be a nightmare. There's 4 relays associated with the wiring, theres also the harness that frequently gets chewed up by the driver front tire. The headlight switch itself, on the column, also gets burned out on our cars. Then there's the actual switch. Once you've exhausted those variables, I would check for voltage at the motors themselves to isolate bad motors.
